New Fee Manager Now Available

After several months of testing, Cutek is proud to announce the following enhancements to our Fee Management Console product:

  • You can now use Fee Manager to post over-the-counter fees (this is in addition to the ability to reverse fees)
  • It’s now much easier to add or modify custom fees
  • There are new options to reverse fees partially
  • There is new support for read-only users (users that can view fees, but can’t reverse fees)
  • The Fee Summary screen now breaks down “Miscellaneous” fees into separate totals for each custom fee you define
  • The standard batch Fee reports can now generate CSV files
  • The View Fees screen now shows the reason provided for any fees reversed previously
  • We now set the Expiration Date on the Note records created by Fee Manager so that you can purge them when they are no longer needed

*If we’ve installed Fee Manager at your credit union within the last few months, you may already have some or all of the new features above.

Here is a demo that shows off many of the new features:

Fee Manager Enhancements are Coming

As part of our planned enhancement cycle for our Fee Management Console product, all clients with a current software license will be able to download new versions of the software that contain the following key enhancements:

The new Post a Fee screen

You’ve been able to reverse fees simply and easily with Fee Manager, but now you’ll be able to configure the software to post over-the-counter fees, as well. The interface for this is as simple as can be. Simply choose which share you want to post a fee to and then choose the fee from a list of fees that you predefine. The fee descriptions, amounts and GL codes are predefined by you, so the employee posting the fee doesn’t have to figure anything out on their own.

You will be able to customize your software to support partial fee refunds, so your users will be able to refund the total fee amount or some percentage of the original fee (you’ll predefine the allowed percentages).

The standard fee reports will now include options to produce CSV files.

We plan to have these enhancements ready for all Fee Management Console clients during the second quarter of 2010. So, stay tuned for more details!

SMUG Meeting Next Week

Dawn and I will be at the SMUG meeting next week in Detroit. I’ll be demoing our Fee Management Console as well as teaching the Interactive HTML (post-back) class on Thursday and Friday. I am looking forward to seeing old friends, making new friends and enjoying the bone chilling weather of Detroit in mid-February. (OK, maybe not so much on that last one.)

Hope to see you there!
